The Beach and Harbour

THE BEACH

Accessed from the Duver Road, and with public car parks both next to the beach itself (IW Council) and behind the sand dunes (National Trust) the beach is a popular visitor attraction, owned/managed by IW Council. During the spring/summer season The Baywatch cafe serves a full range of food, drinks and ice creams, and there are public toilets next door too.

The beach is dog friendly all year round - and you will even see horses taking a walk too!

At low water you can walk round to Seaview and beyond to Ryde.

There is no lifeguard service here, but there is an information board giving advice on safe enjoyment of the beach.

See our 'About us' page for more information on St Helens Fort, visible from the beach.

THE HARBOUR

Although called 'Bembridge Harbour' this beautiful and bustling commercial and leisure small boat harbour is split between the two parishes, with most of its boatyard and mooring facilities for visitors on the St Helens shore (known as The Duver), and also accessed from Duver Road. You can find out everything you need to know about the Harbour, including its history and some fantastic photography, from the Harbour Company's own website here.
