Heritage Trail

Our St Helen’s Heritage trail begins at the village car park. Proceed north to the Vine Public House and walk east along Upper Green Road past charming old cottages

Goose Island

You will notice Ganders restaurant. Geese used to graze the Green and so became known as Goose Island. Today the geese live on in the name of the restaurant, the Mother Goose Bookshop, the village signs, the Parish Council logo and the Christmas carollers, The Goose Island singers.
